I think Williams knows as much as us and is just listening to old rumours.

But if not...

POW you Jaden Smith. Your dad may be awesome but you ruin every movie you are in.

He was decent in Karate Kid.

Static Shock online series. Not in the DCCU, so not sure why it's in this section. I imagine the thought process basically went like:

Will Smith: "Okay, I'll play Deadshot in Suicide Squad, but my boy wants to be a superhero."
DC: "Okay, sure, great, we can do that."
*Smith leaves*
DC: "What can we shove him in that will do the least amount of damage to our ongoing universes? How about a webseries disconnected from all of them?"

I didn't think he was, personally. As stale as a cumcumber, as wooden as a door plank and as fake as Kendall Jenner's lips. But agree to disagree.

This is only an online series? Thank God for that.

Love that Tom Hiddleston is there.

Also, it is not "just plain awesome." Not for me, anyway. I find posters (or whatever) where they just jam all the characters in to be quite annoying and just poorly made in terms of design.

WB Executive Greg Silverman recently had the chance to talk about the studio's eagerly anticipated DC Cinematic Universe. In the interview he touched upon the series' overall tone, direction and the decision behind hiring Patty Jenkins for Wonder Woman;

One of the first things he was asked about was how DC planned on differentiating their universe from their cross-company rivals at Marvel:

Greg_Silverman wrote:We have a great strategy for the DC films, which is to take these beloved characters and put them in the hands of master filmmakers and make sure they all coordinate with each other. You'll see the difference when you see Batman v. Superman, Suicide Squad, Justice League and all the things that we are working on.

Silverman then addressed complaints about the Batman v. Superman trailer being "too dark":

Greg_Silverman wrote:There is intensity and a seriousness of purpose to some of these characters. The filmmakers who are tackling these properties are making great movies about superheroes; they aren't making superhero movies. When you're trying to make a good movie, you tackle interesting philosophies and character development. There's also humor, which is an important part.

He also explained the studio's decision to hire Monster director Patty Jenkins, following Michelle MacLaren's exit from Wonder Woman:

Greg_Silverman wrote:We had a very intensive process looking at everybody. Patty and Michelle were really the ones who came to the forefront the first go-round, so when things didn't work out with Michelle, we all knew we had someone great who had expressed interest before. She came back and is doing a great job. But it was never about the best female director. She has demonstrated doing amazing work with female characters, such as in Monster.

There are a lot of positives we can take from this; the DCCU will have its directors coordinating together so the universe will truly be a cohesive one, have both some 'seriousness' and humour in its movies, and the Wonder Woman movie's new director wasn't signed on hastily just because she was a woman and was the second choice; WB were genuinely impressed by her work and believed she was the best choice for the job following their internal disagreements with Michelle McLaren's plans. Thoughts?

EDIT:

We officially have our Aquaman director; James Wan of Furious 7;

BUMP:

Tom Hardy's mysterious role has been revealed, certainly not what I was expecting and a little disappointed in all honesty;

Huh. Disappointing indeed. Oh well. Will keep an eye out for it since it's Tom Hardy :P

I was honestly hoping WB would keep him in their sights for another big DCEU role, like say Hal Jordan or Shazam. I'll keep an eye out for this movie, but really it seems like something similar to Sin City which I'm not really into personally.

If you don't know or haven't read 100 Bullets, do yourself a favour and read it as soon as possible. It's a great comic. I'm really excited about this news but I will admit that I agree wgith what some people are already saying, in that it would have made a great Netflix or HBO series instead, but I eagerly await what they do with it.
