The Flash directed by Seth Grahame-Smith

Batman VS Superman, Justice League & the rest of the DC Cinematic Universe slate is huge - discuss!

Rick Famuyiwa has left the Flash: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/flash-movie-loses-dope-director-rick-famuyiwa-942604

This is a calamity. The DCEU is truly a trainwreck. The DCEU is supposed to be a director friendly place but at the rate they're dropping talent and producing disappointing films, I'd say its anything but.

Didn't work out so well with Zack Snyder.

"Sources say that the Dope helmer’s vision of making a movie with more edge clashed with the studio’s take."

Wouldn't surprise me if this is true given how much hate the DCEU has gotten for being dark.

Probably, the DCEU sits in a god damn corner that they cant escape easily.
You cant go dark with the movies because they already did that with the brightest and most hopeful DC character...which broke this universe neck imo.

As director you sit between two chairs and sitting on either of them is problematic for different reasons.

That is such a shame. I saw a lot of potential in this movie with Rick's involvement. Oh well...
I still wish Lord & Miller were available to work on this movie... Fu*king Disney's Star Wars... >:(

Anyone got any ideas of who would be a good director for this film?

I just want Edgar Wright to direct a mainstream comicbook movie.

This should annoy me but I can't help but find it funny. "Non Grant Gustin". Rotten Tomatoes, stop being an asshole :oldyella:

So what do you guys think of the rumors that Robert Zemeckis could be in talks to direct now?

Yeah, same here.
Not sure how long is it gonna take to get this film off the ground, but, at this point, I would take Shawn Levy as the director. Just get this thing rolling already!

Does anyone else find it really unprofessional when directors drop in and out of projects. It definitely puts a downer on my perception of them.

Haha! That picture just made my day. So there was some meetings, but that was a while back. We'll see what happens.

Not quite. In this case, the reports are Lord and Miller were fired (maybe there was some unprofessionalism.) My perspective on the matter is that studios need to be absolutely certain they're on the same page with the directors they hire.

Yup, i dont want a movie where the studio or the director etc are not happy doing it.
I rather have none than something like Fantastic Four. :oldyella:

At this point i probably would even be happy with Michael Bay as director or Uwe Boll :oldyella: i just want the movie to happen.
