I think its clear he was already resenting the film though. He's expressed his frustration with Live By Midnight tanking with his fans only ever talking about Batman, and he's called out clickbait media sites who have been determined to tarnish the DCEU.

What clickbait media sites? The DCEU has done enough on its own to tarnish its repuation.

Hm, maybe that makes it easier for him to give a good performance.
It would have been hard to direct and act in a movie like this.

But of course this makes people worried all over again...we will see where this goes.

Well, this brings me more confidence.

Any suggestions on who should direct the film?
They said Warner is interested in getting Matt Reeves for the job. Considering how good "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" was, and how good "War For The Planet Of The Apes" looks, I'd be fine with that.

So they´ll change the script, too? Somehow I was suspecting that. Doesn´t sound as alarming as I first thought, though...

Very true, but there are definitely 'news' sites out there who simply start rumours for shares and views. They tried to say Affleck was leaving the Batman role at one point and Affleck himself said it was ridiculous. Also, there are the sites claiming they have an inside source confirming Wonder Woman is trash.

Articles like this you mean? When somebody announced that Damian would lead the Teen Titans in Rebirth before Dc confirmed it I think people also just called it clickbait I guess we´ll just have to wait and see.

Yep, those are the ones. I'm really hopeful for Wonder Woman granted the DCEU's past. I just wish these news sites would cut them a brake from time to time.

Umberto Gonzalez is renown for making up rumours then going on tyrants when he's proven wrong.

Matt Reeves just started following Geoff Johns (and Zack Snyder) on Twitter.

New Batman director, perhaps?

BTW, no matter who they pick to helm this film (nor how good he is), the fact that Affleck said specifically "if the script is not good, I'm not gonna do it" keeps a bad taste in my mouth.
What if the script is half-assed, and they're only moving forward without Affleck as the director, just so they can make the movie in time for their "schedule"?

Oh man... I want this to be good so badly! :(

I can see this happening. Even if Affleck hated the script, he's contractually obliged to continue the role. He may only be staying on as the character because he has too.

It's official!

Cautiously optimistic about this though. After Nolan's trilogy, the pressure is certainly on. Given DCCU's recent track record, let's just hope Reeves sticks to the project til the very end.

I just want the movie to happen at all at this point.

Give me an Arkham-esque Batman movie and you've got a winner!!
