The man who laughs wrote:Bit late to the party, but I've finally got round to watching few episodes. I got to say that I'm fed up with a few things. First off, the pacing can be a bit weird at times. Also it is geared towards a lot of feminists. Don't get me wrong, all for equality, but the show feels as if it has to bring up feminism every minute.

Also, not to sound racist, I believe that there is no need for a black Jimmy Olsen. Personally, I feel as though it's just to keep everyone happy. When I think of Jimmy Olsen I think of a ginger white and goofy kid. For those who may argue that "why can't there be a black character." I'm not dissing that. I believe that characters should be true or near enough close to the material and not changed for political ways. I would equally be annoyed if there was a white Amanda Waller.

Hopefully I can get through the whole season. (Still better than arrow season 4)

We're in the same boat, my friend. And regarding their not well handled feminism angle, it gets toned down. Or, at least, it's not around as much in most of the season.

I've been annoyed with not-Jimmy since the first trailer for the show. Jimmy has a certain image to him, and it's part of the character. He's got average height, average looking, is a little clumsy, but has a strong and brave heart. This guy? Sure, his name is "James Olsen." That's where the similarities end. Oh, and I guess that he's Superman's best friend. This guy is literally "tall, dark, and handsome." He's confident, and his bravery isn't Jimmy's "overcoming fear" type of bravery, but simply not being afraid.

There's also Winn, who I do like, but I dislike how he's just another Chloe Sullivan. Smallville started it all, and that's where the "supporting cast member who's a close friend of the superhero main character and is an IT genius that can hack into everything and do pretty much everything" was born. At least, to my knowledge. I don't know if any earlier attempts at live-action superhero shows had a similar character type.

On the other hand, the first image of whatshisname as Superman.

Looks fucking awful. He does not look like Superman in terms of face and body build. So, in short, he does not look the part at all. And, I don't know, is it just me, or does he have that, ah... "five o'clock shave" or whatever it's called. Doesn't even have the "S" fringe thing. Just, bad.

Doesn´t make a good first impression on me, either.

Maybe I´ll start watching this show again, though. Its Feminism seemed a little too preachy at first but now I am glad they are bringing those ideas up. And this version of Jimmy Olsen might be better than the character in the comics, sort of like movieverse Nick Fury when I think about it.

He also seems to be look too young for a Superman.
Tom Welling(did i write his name right?) would have worked, but this looks more like superboy.

In the end we need to see how he works really on screen, but so far im not impressed.
Even Routh looked more like superman to me, this is just overall too small and all.

Superman needs to look huge, he needs to have a certain aura.
That is what makes Henry Cavill such a good Superman, no matter what you want to think about the movies.
You see him in the suit and it screams Superman to you.
This is like i said,Superboy.

The suit itself isnt bad, for tv show standards its quite good.

The belt is weird, somehow too large. The cape and symbol look perfect, though if you ask me.

I saw some shooting pictures on tumblr...there he looks far more believable.

The promo picture is just horrible.
The coloring seems to be stronger, he looks a bit more bulky.

Still not the best, but better then in the promo picture.

Looks a lot (like 70%) better here. His arms are his weak point though. :p

Oh, wow. Yeah. Looks a lot better here. I guess I was too quick to judge. Glad to be, though.

Supergirl was a standalone episode. Which I figured would happen.
Spoiler: show
Barry and Cisco show up at the very end to ask for Kara's help.
