I did a topic for this earlier comparing AA to AC, but with AO now as well I thought we could redo it and include that game too. Vote on the different polls listed below! Also vote on this poll for favourite game overall. Don't forget to post your reasons as well! :adam:

City by a longshot. Origins is cool with the whole Batwing thing and a bigger map, but the combat isn't as nice and fluid as its predecessor.

Asylum. The claustrophobia in that game was outta this world.

City was my most favorite in everything, as for Asylum it was pretty awesome in Scarecrow's nightmare scenes.

Asylum was amazing and it set a pretty high standard. City beat that standard with its improved gameplay and larger world. The story was pretty good too. Origins' story was the best in the series, and so were its characters and music, but otherwise fell a little short of that standard that Asylum set with its poor game design and buggy gameplay. Pretty sad, because if it was polished as well as City then I'm sure it could have been my favorite.

So, yeah, City.

In terms of overall which game I enjoyed the most (and the one that remains to be my favourite videogame of all time), that title goes to Arkham Asylum. I just get so nostalgic whenever I play it.

Ranking them here:

1. Origins
2. Asylum
3. City

Asylum and Origins just nail my favourite types of Batman - him in his early days and at his pique; one with a classic DC universe romp, the other with a gothic tale of isolation. They both work on so many levels.

Whilst it's clear City had the most refined gameplay, there are some really big issues that I think everyone overlooks when they play it. It has a disjointed narrative, it overindulges in Riddler trophies (not the cool riddles or puzzles - I mean the boring kind), and doesn't take as big an advantage over its environment as its predecessor did.

Also I don't even think I have to explain just how garishly un-Batman like the REC is.

This. The atmosphere made this game better than its successors.Besides, the first is almost always the best.

1. Arkham City
2. Arkham Asylum
3. Arkham Origins

Arkham Asylum is the best in terms of story and it's immersive open-world, but Arkham City's gameplay is what make it the better game for me. Just by a little. Arkham Origins had too many "O.K." side missions and made some of it's characters forgettable. It also had that Dark Knight System which felt like a chore to play and took some enjoyment out of the game.

Asylum then origins then city.

I have said why I love asylum time and time again and I don't think I can do it any justice in under 1,000 words so I won't even try. I can describe city in a couple of words but arkhamverse dies not allow swearing so ill try to be nice. City is lazy, confused, terribly plotted, changes pace like a Mexican jumping bean riding on a kangaroo jumping on a trampoline, pandering to the least common denominator, tries to please everyone and ends up doing no side of the fandom justice, a cluster, no understanding of at least half the villains, quick and/or dull side quests half the time, poorly written, riddled with plot and logical problems and plot holes, poorly plotted, and overall one if the most overhyped and overrated batman THINGS ever.

Origins is pretty good but I have given my thoughts before so ill just say that its underrated and is really well written.

A Mexican jumping bean riding on a kangaroo jumping on a trampoline sounds rather fun which is what Arkham City is! It's probably the most fantastical of the Arkham games and the most stylish. Sefton Hill called it a montage piece which is a pretty accurate description. Yes the majority of the characters are cameos rather than developed characters and the plot is unlike your typical Batman story.
