He didn't die, but the most shocking "death" for me was when Croc jumped out the water and grabbed Scarecrow. I literally jumped out my skin and made an embarassing noise.

Frank Bole's death sorta caught me off guard. I remember doing an awkward laugh seeing the expression on his face, though I felt incredibly creeped out on the inside. That facial expression was just so weird.

The botanical garden workers also struck me emotionally too. It was awful seeing their dead bodies, when having just spoken to them a few minutes before. A lot of deaths are like that in fact; you talk to a load of guards at the start of the game (I remember one in particular, he said how he would tell his kids how he met Batman) but later on, it's kinda depressing seeing that they've been killed.

No, he doesn't. Look closely, and when the Joker first runs down that corridor, the guards are already dead in the background. I'm supposing that Harley Quinn got to them first.

Seeing Joker kill that guard in the botanical gardens. I wanted to see more things like that.

Thomas Armbruster, eh? You can save his life by turning off the power before attempting to enter the Flooded Corridor. Instead of appearing and committing the deed, the scene will simply cut to the Joker walking away. He will also note, however, "Always one step ahead, aren't you, Bats?" if you do so.

That Doctor guy you save from the thugs outside a building (Don't know the where and who), and then you come out to find a crazy standing over his dead body. I kicked that guy's butt SO HARD afterward.

Different character. The orderly you initially save from the thugs en route to the Penitentiary disappears from the scene later on - the corpse that the lunatic is standing over was already there earlier.

Quite so. Robert Stirling and Luke Curtis are the orderly and janitor, respectively, who are murdered in the Aviary. Players are rather sadistically permitted to go through the trouble of rescuing them when Batman first passes through this room, and passing through the same area later will prompt the following remark: "They're all dead. Joker was busy while I fought his monsters. He will pay for this." It should be noted that the Dark Knight's tone is intentionally lowered in the last sentence at least an octave, adding to the general impression of quiet menace.

The guard you reference is the one who patrols the walkway leading to the tunnel connecting Arkham Island North to Arkham Island East. If affronted, he will state, "My kid is going to be so jealous. He's your number one fan." This character's bullet-riddled corpse can be found in the same location after the Blackgate prisoners overrun that section of the asylum grounds.

When Joker pushes that guard into the electrified water, absolutely shocking.

Yes, but technically we haven't seen him alive. It's a lame idea, but it could be an imposter of some sort.

Perhaps his impostor is the fiend that many that people keep seeing flying in arkham city? Perhaps testing out a new fear jetpack, which uses scarecrow's fear gas as fuel. hmmmm....

That idea may be slightly too far-fetched, even for Rocksteady.

Using the Scarecrow's fear gas as fuel? Extremely dangerous and unrealistic. The toxins are intended to be administered as drugs, to cause hallucinations and inflict shattering effects on the mind's perception of reality. They were not intended to be used as a source of power.

In addition, under the hypothesis that it could be indeed be used to work a jetpack, what would be the point? Spreading fear gas across Arkham City? Simply unworkable.

Firefly has no reason to fit into this.

Probably Scarecrow. I know he's not dead, but at the time I thought he was. Or maybe it was the guard that Scarecrow ma de Batman see as Gordon. One of the two. :scar: :scar: :scar:
