Does anyone have a list of where I should start with DC or Marvel?

As far as Batman goes, Scott Snyder's whole run has been amazing so far. He's easily my favorite Batman writer. Other than that, the first Batman I ever read was Grant Morrison's "Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth," and it's my favorite to this day. It's a little hard to follow at first because the art and the lettering is so chaotic, so I always suggest reading it, then reading the Wikipedia synopsis or something, then reading it again. It'll probably make more sense and be much better the second time. Then there's the obvious ones like Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, and The Killing Joke. If you enjoyed Long Halloween, Dark Victory is the sequel. I actually like it even better than the first. Hush is a good one, and then A Death in the Family and Under the Red Hood. The New 52 run of Nightwing is also awesome, in my opinion, as is Geoff John's run on Justice League so far.
I know very little about Marvel, as the only Marvel stuff I've read is the new Star Wars and Darth Vader books, and a little of Mark Waid's Daredevil, so I can't really suggest anything there.

Here's what I've got: every Arkham series comic (except a few issues of Arkham Unhinged), the Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Gotham by gaslight, the Dark Knight Returns, Gotham Central Vol. 1, Arrow season 2.5, and Flash season zero.

Still need to read Long Halloween and Dark Victory. Also I got the Arkham Knight comic bundle, so I'll be getting Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth.
