Knightfall Animated Movie: Would like to See

Who else would love to see this come to fruitation? Knightfall is hands down one of the best Batman storylines and one of my favorite storylines for that matter. And with all this popularity on Bane lately, it would be more marketable too. I want it to stay true to the comic designs and actual story as well.

Total of 3 films for it:
Part One: Knightfall
Part Two: Knightquest
And Part Three: Knights End

Thoughts, oppinions? :bane:

It would never happen. For two reasons:

The only reason they made TDKR a two part film was because it was Bruce Timm's last project.

It would be too similar to The dark Knight Rises to make it stand out and feature something we haven't quite seen yet in a film.

I don't think it would be three parts

Every time we discuss future DC Animated Features, Knightfall is brought up; usually as a trilogy. I'd love to see it and think that most Batman fans would too. Unfortunately, with WB apparently looking to more recent stories, I don't think that we'll see it happen.

Id like to see it.
I reckon they could do it as a 2 parter if they cut out a lot of the filler from the comic.

Was gonna say this. You could easily fit the story comfortably into two 90 minute movies if you cut out a lot of filler.

Plus the two-parter dealy worked with The Dark Knight Returns.

Its been a while since Dark Knight Rises has come out , so the best opportunity to sell a film like this is probably gone . Still , a Knightfall two parter would have been great .

Eh, I dunno. Its not like the target audience for The Dark Knight Rises is the same as DC Animated movies.
Theres plenty of people I know who have seen TDK trilogy who don't even know DC make animated movies.
I think they'd have a good shot.

I thought this would've been one of DC's first animated projects. It's one of the most popular stories in comic book history, it's a defining chapter in Batman's story, and it includes just about every villain in Batman's rogues gallery.

But there's still hope. I mean, let's be honest, how many of you would've believed me a few years ago, if I told you that WB was working on an animated version of The Dark Knight Returns?

Would love to see it. But unless they cut Azrael from the story, I doubt they could fit it into 1 movie.

There's a looooot of issues in the Knightfall saga, so they'd still have to skip a lot of the filler to fit it into a two-part movie. Also, some events and characters need to be briefly summarized and morphed together or it will never work.

It still feels like they need 3 movies to cover Bruce's recovery and Azrael's story from Switzerland to his defeat. And a trilogy sounds somewhat unrealistic.

I'd love nothing more than this. Always wanted DC to make a Knightfall story but as it's been pointed out by others it would only be feasible within a two-parter/ trilogy.

Also, I heard rumours that DC are moving away from retelling the classics and are looking into New 52/ original stories, so ultimately, the chances of this happening look slim. :(
