The Ultimate Batman Film

You are Bat-Mite, assembling a cast and crew for the ultimate Batman film.

Using your reality-warping powers, you can bend time and space to cherry pick what you'd like from any time or any place. For instance, you are able to cast actors who are, by this point, well into retirement.

As well as the cast and crew, you could consider the plot and year of release.

So have at it, Bat-fans. :adam: Which - if I may digress - makes me wonder whether those fit onto Batman's utility belt.

Cool thread, was thinking of starting one similar, are we allowed to include actors who are in other CBMs (Like Michael Fassbender as Batman per instance)?;

Cast

My Batman Fancast

Batman – Guy Pearce (Going with an old school Batman+Justice League)
Thomas Wayne – Adrian Pasdar
Martha Wayne – Elizabeth Mitchell
Alfred Pennyworth – Rowan Atkinson
Nightwing – Ben Barnes
Red Hood – Garrett Hedlund
Robin – Hero Fiennes Tiffin
Oracle – Karen Gillan
Batwoman – Jessica Chastain
Batgirl – Chloe Grace Moretz
Lucius Fox – Denzel Washington
Commissioner Gordon – Kurt Russell
Harvey Bullock – Michael Madsen
Renee Montoya – Michelle Rodriguez
Aaron Cash – Terry Crews
Catwoman - Helena Bonham Carter
Carmine Falcone – Steve Buscemi
Rupert Thorne – Brandon Gleeson
Mayor Hamilton Hill – Joe Mantegna
Ra’s al Ghul – Oded Fehr
Talia al Ghul – Keira Knightley
Riddler – Andrew Scott
Hugo Strange – Bryan Cranston
Poison Ivy – Emily Blunt
Bane – Manu Bennett
Black Mask – Ray Liotta
The Joker – Jude Law

I will cast the in-depth crew later, but I know right now my director would be Guy Ritchie.

There are no limits as to who you can cast. You are Bat-Mite after all. :P

Batman: Twisted Nightmares (70s80s Crime Thriller with psychological elements)

Batman/Bruce Wayne: Clint Eastwood,40s/50s
Commissioner Gordon: Willem Dafoe
Alfred: Sean Connery
The Joker: Malcolm McDowell
Summer Gleason: Karen Allen
Mr Freeze (Prologue): Rutger Hauer
Harley Quinn: Daryl Hannah

Oh what I would give to see a film like this. In some alternate reality out there, Clint Eastwood must have played Batman either in his prime, as the Dark Knight Returns, or in Batman Beyond.

I always thought Malcolm McDowell in his youth would make a better Commissioner Gordon and Dafeo would make a better Joker to me, but hey it's your fancast, it really should have happened. But somehow we got Val Kilmer and Michael Keaton as Batman instead...

Wonder Woman - Angelina Jolie
Green Lantern (John Stewart) - Idris Elba

Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) - Nathan Fillion
Green Arrow - Leonardo DiCaprio/Matthew McConaughey
Black Canary - Yvonne Strahovski
Zatanna - Anne Hathaway
Atom - Cillian Murphy
Shazam - Tom Hardy
Vixen - Rosario Dawson
Hawkman - Hugh Jackman
Hawkgirl - Nicole Kidman
Captain Atom - Jeremy Renner

Steel – Tyrese Gibson
Superboy – Liam Hemsworth
Power Girl – Elisha Cuthbert
Supergirl - Taylor Swift

Nightwing – Ben Barnes
Red Hood – Garrett Hedlund
Robin (Damian Wayne) – Hero Fiennes Tiffin
Oracle – Karen Gillan
Batwoman – Jessica Chastain
Robin (Carrie Kelly) – Chloe Grace Moretz

Starfire – Gemma Arterton

Yep.

@Peel, I went with Malcolm based on his performance in A Clockwork Orange, and Dafoe utterly nails the Gordon archetype in both Platoon and Mississippi Burning. :)

It's not Batman, but if we're messing with Bat-Mite's powers... I've always thought that Clint Eastwood in his prime would've been the PERFECT choice for Jonah Hex! There'll never be a better choice for that role.

Yeah, well, it's sort of like how Ultimate Nick Fury was based entirely around Samuel L. Jackson's likeness and personality. They can't get a better actor to play Hex because that role was literally written as a Clint archetype. Probably the reason my Dad's favourite DC character is Hex.

Not really the same thing, but I get what you're saying. And your dad has fantastic taste! ;)

It's the one comic book I can get him to actively take an interest in. He practically grew up on westerns when he was little and he was so pissed off with that travesty of a film. :oldyella:

^ Good man. And I feel his pain when it comes to that flick! :oldyella:

Goin' a bit off topic here, but I reckon these days Hugh Jackman would be a good choice to play Hex.

Yeah... it was pretty terrible. :oldyella:

Jackman would be pretty good, but I still think Thomas Jane would be better. He was the guy they considered before Brolin and also voiced Hex in the animated short.

To be honest, Hugh Jackman would be good for a lot of roles. Jonah Hex, Batman, Iron Man, James Bond etc. Personally I don't feel Fox are using him as much as they could be in the XMen movies; Jackman needs more exposure or he should be allowed to do other CBMs.
