Goin' a bit off topic here, but I reckon these days Hugh Jackman would be a good choice to play Hex.

Yeah... it was pretty terrible. :oldyella:

Jackman would be pretty good, but I still think Thomas Jane would be better. He was the guy they considered before Brolin and also voiced Hex in the animated short.

I know man, he even sent in a shot of himself as Hex. And I love that short! It was so much better than the movie.

He'd be a good second choice. :P

Spoiler: show
And since I mentioned it, for anyone interested...

So I'm gonna be slightly different & go with an animated film.

Batman - Kevin Conroy
Joker - Mark Hamill
Catwoman - Grey DeLisle
Harley Quinn - Arleen Sorkin
Two-Face - Richard Moll
Penguin - Nolan North
Riddler - Wally Wingert
Poison Ivy - Tasia Valenza
Bane and Solomon Grundy - Fred Tatasciore
Commissioner James Gordon - Tom Kane
Alfred - Michael Caine (lol)

Pretty much Animated Series x Arkhamverse lol.

Not using any actors from The Dark Knight Trilogy or Burton/Schumacher series.

Batman: Arkham Asylum
Directed by Jennifer Kent
Music by Jed Kurzel
Starring:
Ben Affleck as Batman
Ellen Page as Barbara Gordon
Logan Lerman as Tim Drake
Sharlto Copley as Scarecrow
[can't think of anyone for this one] as Killer Croc
Christina Hendricks as Poison Ivy
John Hurt as Alfred
Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon
Casey Affleck as The Riddler
Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn
Michael Pitt as the Joker

A smaller scale more horror and suspense driven film based loosely on Arkham Asylum the game and Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth with Batman being trapped in Arkham Asylum. However the main villain would be Scarecrow not Joker and with Killer Croc as the muscle and Ivy as a third villain that is freed accidentally during all of this. She doesn't work with Scarecrow, instead being at odds with both him and Batman.

This would be the designs used for Scarecrow, Croc and Ivy.

These Batgirl (Babs', not Cass') and Tim Robin costumes.

Batman - Richard Armitage
Comissioner Gordon - Bryan Cranston
Barbara Gordon - ?
Alfred Pennyworth - Sir Christopher Lee
Julie Madison - ?
Edward Nigma/ Riddler - Jared Leto
Waylon Jones/ Killer Croc - Akinnuoye-Agbaje
Lucius Fox - Denzel Washington

I´d like to see a Batman movie partially based on the second Volume of Earth One with some slight adjustments here and there. The sequels could feature Joker and finally Ra´s al Ghul and show how Batman slowly upgrades his arsenal kinda like in the Arkham Games.

^All those villain picks are money.

I would so watch Woody as Two-Face. He'd kill it.

Totally off on a tangent here, but I had this idea this morning after hearing the song on the radio.

If WB were ever to make a Batman Beyond film, Hurt by Johnny Cash would be the perfect accompaniment for a trailer focussing on the emotion of Bruce Wayne passing on the mantle of the Bat to Terry. Plus the song makes me cry each time I hear it.

While I still hear the NIN original whenever I hear the song, I think it would be a good trailer with that song =D
Maybe not the initial trailer, but a secondary one, absolutely!

The ultimate Batman movie was already made but a monster named Joel Schumacher ruined everything. I will hopefully show you what I think should have happened.

Cast
Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne (Batman)
Drew Roy as Dick Grayson (Robin/Nightwing)
Jena Malone as Barbara Gordon (Oracle/Batgirl)
Alexandra Breckenridge or Bryce Dallas Howard as Pamela Isley (Poison Ivy)
Ed Harris as Victor Fries (Mr Freeze)
Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth
Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon
Jeffrey Wright as Lucius Fox
Nico Tortorella as Jason Todd (Cameo Only)

Plot
Batman & Robin wasted a lot of potential story lines which could have made the film 10x better.
-The relationship between Batman and Robin has become strained. Dick is tired of living under Batman's shadow and getting no recognition or appreciation. He wants to drop the mantle of Robin and become his own hero. He is also romantically involved with Barbara Gordon.
-Barbara Gordon has known Batman and Robin for several years and has served beside them as Oracle, giving intel and pointing them in the right direction. However, Barbara has become tired of sitting behind a computer screen and wants to fight alongside her friends. Robin has been helping to train her to become Batgirl although Batman is not convinced it is a smart idea and threatens to tell her father.
-Mr Freeze's story mostly stays the same but his involvement is more related to Pamela Isley. A man named Jason Woodrue contacts Fries telling him he has found a cure to his wife condition. He tests the cure on his unwilling co worker who although at first appears to die from the concoction, revives and later recovers. Being sent to hospital, Ivy slowly loses her mind as her boyfriend is found to be unfaithful and a visit from her distant and cold parents push her over the edge. Ivy escapes from hospital and kills Woodrue. Freeze is made aware that the cure works but Ivy has the only trace of the cure inside her so he pursues to take it from her. Meanwhile, Ivy develops strange powers and embraces her new lifestyle as the saviour of all plantlife. Ivy intends to create a spore that will wipe out the majority of Gotham's population.

Context
-Dick is the second Robin with Jason being the first.
-Batman has encountered Mr Freeze before.
-Ivy survives the film and goes on to meet Harley Quinn.
-Bruce Wayne pays for Nora to be treated and also pays to reverse the damage done to Fries so he can live with his wife.
-The cameo from Jason Todd at the end of the film sets up the sequel.

I am not good with fan casting but I would love to see a movie that is set in the golden age using the suit from detective 30 (the first appearance suit but with blue instead of black on the gloves, cape, cowl, and boots). it would be called Legend of the Batman or legends of the dark knight and Batman would be more of an urban legend. However I would turn that on its head by still making Bruce a fleshed out character. It would be about him allowing himself to become more of a hero and not a vigilante (maybe even about him deciding to not kill since he wants to be a public hero) which sets up the later golden age status quo. He may have robin already or the end of the film would set that up. If he does then he would be using Dick solely for infiltration and undercover stuff like in robin's early stories.

The villain would be Hugo Strange and a golden age interpretation of Black mask. It would be all about Bruce becoming the mask and needing to separate himself from it which would be hard for him since his fiance Julie Madison leaves early in the film. By the end he finds an anchor to his true self through robin. Roman gets the mask fused to his face by the end and Strange "dies" with the mid credit scene being him surviving and the end credit scene being a clip from the next film which would be the Joker calling out on the radio for the death of Henry Claridge.
