I agree, Conroy's a must as well.

The animated adaptation of Batman: The Killing Joke is executive produced by Bruce Timm and will retell this classic tale in an exciting new way. It’ll also feature an original 15-minute prologue that helps set up the story, giving even longtime fans of the story something new to look forward to.

Hmmm Im not sure if Im excited for a new opening or not. One of my favorite parts of the novel is the opening with Batman talking to who he thinks to be The Joker.

^ It's a new prologue, not a new opening.

Well, I've been wanting this for ages, and it's finally here! Very excited to see how they tackle this. I'm particularly interested in what things they'll add to make it feature length (I can imagine the Funhouse scene with Gordon being especially unsettling), and I'll be even more impressed if they're able to replicate Brian Bolland's style, as it's very 'hyper realistic'. I'm sure Timm will do it justice though! :)

I wonder how Alan Moore feels about this, considering he's anti-pretty-much-everything. I couldn't be happier though. If Conroy and Hamill both do it, it will be perfect.

I was so happy and exalted when I saw this on Batman-News.com! A tremendous consolation for that awful bling bling sh*t-Joker we'll get in the Suicide Squad movie.

Oh wow, nice! Bit late to the party I guess.

I still really want a Long Halloween animated film. I would kill for that, as it's my favorite Batman story. I'd also love a Hush film that follows the events of the first Hush GN. But Long Halloween all the way.

Killing Joke isn't one of my favorite Batman stories, but I'm still a little hyped for it since I think it could be adapted quite well.

I'm pumped as all hell. I want them to start adapting more existing works and do so faithfully rather than creating these mash up stories like Batman vs Robin that kind of mixed Ducard with the Court of Owls while changing the Court completely and telling it's own story. I would have much preferred a faithful adaptation of the Court of Owls. I would much prefer, in the future, to see things like Long Halloween, Hush, etc. adapted accurately. This is a step in the right direction.

I hope they change the ending however. That scene where Batman laughs at the Joker's joke always made me hate the book after I read it. I love the rest of it however.

A 15 Minute prologue, huh? I wonder if the adaption will be as faithful as the one of Year One and Returns.
Wouldn´t be the least bit dissapointed if it isn`t, since Killing Joke is essentially a deconstruction of the whole Batman mythos.... and to be honest, Í´d rather celebrate these characters than seeing Moore ruin them. He did a wonderful job of mocking Superhero tropes in Watchmen, but in the end he harmed the character of Batman more than making him better.

The main reason I didn't like it is because I never really understood it. What did Batman find funny about it? What happened after it?

Its also my least favorite part, i found it so extremely missplaced.
Maybe i should read it again, but the ending is the reason why i dont often pick it up.

After everything that happened in the Killing Joke, how can Batman laugh with Joker like its all so funny?
I hope that the Movie will take a different approach.
Its a quite disturbing book, i dont think they will do a completely accurate version.
