Same here about Robin. To be honest, before Batman and Robin I was completely prejudiced towards all forms of Robin and thought all four of them were stupid. Damian definitely changed that.

Damian is pretty much the only Robin in comics that I could possibly like because he's Bruce Wayne's son. But that still doesn't excuse the fact that he's a young kid and yet Bruce has allowed him to put on the Robin costume and fight ruthless criminals. For me it just makes Batman seem irresponsible for allowing any of the Robins to fight crime no matter how well he has trained them. I never liked Dick or Tim until they grew up and became Nightwing and Red Robin because at least they weren't teenagers anymore. You'd think Batman would've learned his lesson after Todd. But I've always hated that Robin has been a young teenage boy. I probably wouldn't hate the character so much if Robin were a young twenty year old. But as I said, at least Damian is Bruce's son and not some random teenage kid that Bruce has no right putting at risk.

I love Grant Morrisons run on Batman, so I love his run in Batman and Robin, too :pyg:

How can anyone not love Pyg? Hes amazing and yet people on this forum show him no love.

I bumped this thread so people can read about him since hes part of the Arkham Database now. :pyg: oink

I like Pyg! He's most definetly the greatest batman villain of the 21st century. Not on par with the greats, but still a good villain.

I read Grant Morrison's run awhile ago, and I've gotta say, it was one of the best storyarcs I have ever read from DC.

I'd like to say, the artwork and colouring in this comic is phenomenal. Frank Quitely is a total god when it comes to anatomy and really experimented a bit with this one (the sound effects integrating themselves into the artwork is a particular example of what makes this comic unique). The colours are vibrant and warm, and even though the background colours do look like overly compressed gif images, it just helps the art stand out to the point that the only competition it has out of all of Quitely's resume in terms of making the artwork jump off the page is All-Star Superman.

Great comic, great art, great characters, great dialogue and a fucking awesome villain. One of my favourites for sure.

Hey this is still alive!

Agreed with Jabels.

I actually do like some titles from the New 52. I never read Animal Man or Swamp Thing before but i do every month now. But there's not one book out right now that's even half as good as Grant's B&R run.
