I'm reading this. I love the way Gordon is handled and it his story as well not just Bruce becoming Batman. I hope to pick up animated movie soon. I haven't read Y1 in a long time I never get bored reading Miller's Batman.

The GN is so much better than the animated movie. Anyway, that was a great review.

It's ok, it's not as good as the other animated movies.

Really good essay, Vigilante. You didn't drag out the synopsis and clearly stated why you liked it.

[quote="MaxSchreck"]I`ve never really shared this fascination year one has on Batman fans and sadly your article couldn`t change that . It might be a great origin story , but as a novel it fails because the plot isn`t very exciting or special .It just portrayes the first hard year Batman has establishing himself as Gothams protector and it is rather dry and not very exciting , even tough the writing isn't bad and the art is very good ,too .

I felt almost the same way, but the writing had me thoroughly enthused from start to finish, even if the plot was dry. For Batman's origin story, I saw it very fitting. :alfred:

Pure classic. One of Frank Miller's best work sat right next to TDKReturns.
I loathe you. You have no manners, you're arrogant, and conceited, and I wrote you a letter about it, in fact.
