I take nothing back. I was being sarcastic but I never intended any rudeness toward Damian_Wayne. Stomach cramps was excessive, but it's hard to be positive when integral parts of the game fall flat, and that sentiment it shared among many walks of die hard Arkham fans. This is supposed to be Rocksteady's swansong to the Arkhamverse but for a lot of people it's just an underwhelming exit to the franchise.

Im by now past the point where im dissapointed or anything any longer.

The one thing that i forgot in all that, was that Rocksteady is a young developer team.
They had 1 game before arkham.
Rocksteady like any other developer, makes mistakes and isnt free of failure.
Sadly arkham knight is the game where the cards didnt fully fell in their favor.

Add WB as a publisher and you have a bit of a mess.

I dont know how developing the game was for rocksteady, what they thought etc.
So while im still a bit sad how the arkham series "ended", i hope that Rocksteady will continue to work on games and dont stop because of the negativity that got thrown at them.

Having said that, im quite excited for the BvS pack...the catwoman "story" looks okay.

Hi there

Not a regular poster here, but just wanted to drop by and point out how lovely it is that at least a modest level of optimism and acknowledgement of the game's merits have resurfaced.

I loved the game myself, and even though I may be able to see some reason in some of the complaints/demands (character select; extra skins for chars), the constant bashing based on people's nitpicks and pre-conceived opinions on what should be on the SP really made me sick of the fan base, which came out very spoiled. I mean, the number of threads made comparing this nicely made game to ORIGINS... Won't starf that discussion though. That game has its merits, but comparing it to a full blown new ps4 game just feels forced...

So, happy to see some light here, and ppl actually enjoying the game.

I never though Arkham Knight was this greatest Batman game ever, but it was okayish. And if someone thinks it's the best game ever, enjoy the game as much as you want and don't let others to think you're wrong. We all have our own opinions and let'¨s just accept it.

This. I don't get how some people think that RS is the king of developers and cannot do no wrong. Sure they made 2 excellent games, but people just started to automatically think that third game would be awesome too. And that it had to be awesome 10/10. And since it wasn't, RS is now bad developer etc. Sure, it was disappointing, but no one is perfect.

Sure, there's was too much Battankmobile, and I didn't like it either so much, but they had to do something to keep the game fresh and new, so I understand it.
Everything about you tells the tale. Your attitude, your costume, your tactics...they all scream of outrage, despair, vengeance. What terrible wrong was done to set you on this path?

Arkham Knight isn't a bad game by any means--and it's very far from perfect. It's simply disappointing. Nothing wrong with enjoying it or disliking it. Everyone will have their opinions. I personally look at the game in disgust to a degree, but it's not like I didn't love playing it.

Plus, hey, they're improving it.

We get a huge city as our playground, dual play, a couple of good villains (Riddler was inanely good, Arkham Knight, Scarecrow, Penguin, heck even Man-Bat was good as a Batman fan.) I really don't understand what everyone is so upset about, besides the PC not being fixed. You literally got what you paid for; RS detailed what we'd be getting in the season pass for the love of Peter Parker. What did you expect? They said we would get solo story packs and BOOM: we get solo story packs. You may not have known that they were a little short, but you still knew what you were paying for. Honestly, the Nightwing story pack is not bad at all; plenty of Easter eggs about Batman's death, Robin, Barb, and it wraps up what Nightwing was working on in the main game; making sure Penguin would not arm criminal scum. Plus it really captures his humor and charm, which was great. Like I said I'm enjoying what I paid my money for and I just don't understand what people expect from RS, besides better boss battles and a fixed PC. That's just how I feel about it and everyone's entitled to an opinion....

How are we jumping on Damien? I was clearly joking. :riddler:

You weren't but noW YOU ARE SPELLING HIS NAME DAMIEN *strangles*

How was I not joking? I made a knight instead of night joke that is the universal joke of batman fans/ people who love bad puns. :oldyella: Seriously man Im sorry if I offended anyone, its not bad to love AK it just disappointed a lot of people especially cause Rocksteady wont address our problems with the game outside of the challenge maps. They dont seem to address stuff like the batmobile being overused. I dont need them to change the game or anything I just want them to knowledge that it annoyed people.

I wouldnt take fans comparing it to origins as a slight against it. They are similar because they both where fun but had a ton of issues especially in execution and both had a lot of repetition. Also in terms of complaints about the game the SP was not the only major issue. That may be a major complaint but that doesn't stop the fact that the story had major issues and the ending was pretentious and it put a bad taste in our mouths. A lot of us got pissed with the season pass cause we where already feeling cheated by the knightfall ending.

This looks awesome. Finally some DLC that looks enjoyable and longer than 10 minutes. I'm little disappointed that Mr Freeze's mission looks like we're going after Nora yet again but everything else looks really great. The look is really reminiscent of the Asylum and looks so dark and eerie. I wonder what the end really means though? Are RS really finished with the Arkham series after all?

This looks great but i still dont like that it seems to be set during AK. They keep dodging the issues with that ending.

TDK suit looks really good.
Not sure when the DLC takes place.
Maybe before Knightfall protocol?

Season of Infamy looks really superb but it I will have to wait until the new year to play it. I'm hoping that as we play through we unlock SoI based AR challenges.

Rocksteady is definitely done with Arkham but whether or not they are with Batman is another question. Personally I think they are finished with Batman and that was just to tease people but if they return I believe Rocksteady will take their mistakes into account and end up making an amazing Batman game, perhaps even a Batman Beyond one.

Definitely. And if Steve Blum voiced every militia troop in the group, why not Croc again?

In other respects... why are you putting back in the Fury Attack? You better update the combat specialists too.

hmmmmm

Okay, now, I'll tag it, because it's a negative opinion on the game and more specifically it's marketing, and I don't want to start a firefight, but it needs to be said. Also story spoilers if that's still necessary.

Spoiler: show
So, let's consider what the main selling points of Arkham Knight were. I'll narrow it down to three main things.

1.) The Batmobile- This mechanic was shoved down our throats. Every ad, every interview, every gameplay video, they're showing the Batmobile off. I, personally, did not enjoy to use the Batmobile in the game at all. I know that many of the professional games journalists who reviewed the game ALSO did not like the Batmobile. I also know many of us on the site did not like it. If you like it, good for you, but from what I've seen and heard, the general consensus seems to be that the Batmobile is a failure

2.) The Arkham Knight is an all-new original character created by Rocksteady- A blatant POWing lie. It was so obvious that it was Jason Todd, that for the plot to be something we wanted to play, they lied to us and made us feel like we couldn't possibly figure it out before the game came out. Unfortunately, we all knew, at least in the back of our head. It was obvious, but it was Rocksteady, so we believed them. The game comes out, we play it, and we get to the scene where the Knight's about to unmask. We've already seen a lot of mentions of Jason Todd, even full-blown scenes revolving around Joker-blood hallucinations. But i can't be Jason, it's an all new character! The mask comes off, and IT'S JASON.

3.) Final RS Batman Game- I've waited to talk about the selling points solely for this one. We've theorized about how it might not be the end, but until this video, RS maintained that they were not making any more Batman games. Then Sefton pulls that cheeky tease and the video cuts out. Another lie.

Two of the main selling points were flat-out lies, and the other was received poorly by many fans and reviewers. This game delivered on none of the things it constantly told us about. These were the things that distinguished it from Asylum or City. It had the Batmobile (which we were made to believe was good through the incessant marketing), the main antagonist was a brand new character, and it was going to be the finale.

We played right into their hands.
