Do we have to post all these on that other forum, or does Rocksteady read our posts on here too?

Most likely all of the attention is at the official forums.

Oh that sucks, I don't want to have to go through the hassle of signing up there just to get Rocksteady to listen to my opinions.

This forum keeps it more real anyways :oldyella:

37 pages of suggestions on the offical forums but I'm sure they'll pop on her to hear the suggestions of a dozen people. :adam:

Predator
  • Wayne Manor Main Hall (Batman: Arkham City)
  • Batcave (Batman: Arkham City)
  • Sanatorium, Medical Facility (Batman: Arkham Asylum)

Combat
  • Iceberg Lounge (Batman: Arkham City)
  • Crime Alley (Batman: Arkham Knight)
  • Monarch Theatre (Batman: Arkham City)

But wait, that’s not all! We’re adding in a seventh AR challenge to the Community Challenge Pack: Endless Knight. We’ve been listening to you guys and one of the most interesting ideas the community has had is for an endless survival predator map. We made a prototype and ended up really liking it, so we’re bringing it to you in January.

Community Challenge Pack Maps

Postby Damian_Wayne » Nov 23rd, 2015, 6:01 pm

A few weeks ago we asked you to tell us your stories about your favourite environments from Rocksteady’s previous Arkham games. What we were looking for was inspiration. Specifically, inspiration for the maps that we’re going to be bringing into Batman: Arkham Knight in the Community Challenge Pack.

We had over 800 replies on the discussion thread, and so many of the stories in there got us seriously fired up about going back to our earlier work. Over the last two weeks we’ve been going through the source code for Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City and testing out how the maps from those games work in our updated engine. Thanks to some amazing work from the people in our Engine, Environment, Art and Design teams, we’re pleased to announce the maps that will be coming to the Community Challenge Pack in January. Based on the maps that the community was asking for, here’s what you can look forward to:

Predator
Wayne Manor Main Hall (Batman: Arkham City)
Batcave (Batman: Arkham City)
Sanatorium, Medical Facility (Batman: Arkham Asylum)

Combat
Iceberg Lounge (Batman: Arkham City)
Crime Alley (Batman: Arkham Knight)
Monarch Theatre (Batman: Arkham City)

But wait, that’s not all! We’re adding in a seventh AR challenge to the Community Challenge Pack: Endless Knight. We’ve been listening to you guys and one of the most interesting ideas the community has had is for an endless survival predator map. We made a prototype and ended up really liking it, so we’re bringing it to you in January.

The Community Challenge Pack is coming to Batman: Arkham Knight in January 2016. PC owners will be able to access the pack a little earlier than everyone else. We can’t wait for you to play it. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Thanks
CODA, and the whole team at Rocksteady

*pats on head for the news post*

:oldyella:

Seriously, though. This is pretty cool. Disappointed that Wayne Manor Armory didn't make it as that was one of my favourite regular Combat Maps. Monarch Theatre is new, though, right? I don't recall anything like that before. Maybe it'll be set inside where we fought Clayface?

It's cool too that we're getting Wayne Manor Main Hall and the Batcave. I guess this is the only Batcave we'll be getting in Knight. Better than nothing, I suppose.

Endless Knight's obviously the most interesting one. I wonder how the scoring would work, then? Should be really interesting, that one.

Uh, some pretty nice maps.
That is a really nice idea, letting the community decide the maps.

Really like it.

I'm happy with the predator maps, monster naps, I'm sad no freight train or the blind justice one.
Tbh I would have also liked the black mask predator room. But what would be great is so that we get everyap for the arkham games on the ps4.

I want that, an animated skin and for nightwings main gadgets to be back, eg wrist darts and ricochet ecrisma sticks

I can die happy (till origins 2)
The Cal-man1 will return .......

Nice choices! Endless Knight also sounds rather fun; I'm guessing that, like the continuous combat maps, that the enemies will become increasingly difficult to beat.

While it was never really gonna happen, I still can't help being upset that we aren't seeing the scarecrow nightmare packs.
