YES! I am so glad I got second place! I didn't want the first prize cause that would have caused me the terrible choice of either selling the copy I get from here or the one I get from the CE (If I can get the CE since the local stores here still haven't begun accepting pre-orders...). Also cause I really wanted whatever those press goodies are :oldyella:

Man, I'm really surprised I actually won. Seriously. I didn't think I'd ever win and thought my entry was pretty crap. I'm really proud of myself... I'm a true Bat Fan and detective... Be proud, past me, be proud.

Huh... I just realized some grammatical errors I made. Well, is it considered a grammatical error if I use "their" instead of "there"?

TheDemon'sHead's entry's really good! Totally deserving of the first place prize! Congratulations! :D

Wow, those entries are fantastic! Even if I managed to get that far with the contest, I doubt I could ever come up with a Cluedo scenario as good as that. Congrats to the both of you! :D

Can you reveal to us all what the rest of the riddle answers were R_R? :)

Yeah, the entry form doesn't work now (I don't want to get spammed), but the detective pages are going to stay up for a while.

First this is a fantastic forum and R_R does super job.
However, got to enter my own comment- love BuNKiTZ story but that entry did not even name a killer?!
Here is my boyfriend's entry that I think is much better (of course I am biased), let your readers decide... (sorry don't kill me C)....

Paul Norman was a former Kord Pharmaceutical employee in Hub City, one of Ted Kord’s most trusted workers. Norman was personally handling the sale of the company to Wayne Enterprises and relocated to Gotham City to supervise the acquisition. However, Kord’s faith was badly placed as Norman succumbed to the lure of easy money in the Gotham black market, selling medicinal prototypes to Black Mask's syndicate. In 2007, Norman was fired after, in Norman’s words, “some faceless nut in a blue trenchcoat and hat” battered him into confessing his crimes while Norman was on a business trip back in Hub City.
Unbeknownst to Norman, Black Mask's organization arranged for the corrupt members of Gotham’s City Council to hire Norman as their Property Acquisition Executive, considering him one of their own. His wife, Melissa Walker, could not stomach these changes, and divorced him, taking their two children to Metropolis to live with her parents and start her career as a reporter for the Daily Planet and teen book author.
Since then, Norman has acquired many properties for the city, and has also made a small fortune as a broker for several off-the-books buyers, including Black Mask and the Falcone and Maroni crime families. Norman has been arrested multiple times for illegal operations, but he has never been sentenced as a result of Norman having done “favors” for the judges and juries of each of his proceedings.
In the last month, he has been contacted by a new buyer, Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin, multiple times in regard to several properties all around the city, but specifically in the slums of South Gotham. Earlier this week, Norman was contacted by Penguin about a building to use as a pit fighting arena and mini casino. Norman told Cobblepot he would look for a suitable place and get back to him soon. Two days later, Norman called Penguin, saying that he had found several locations that fit what he had specified and for Penguin to meet him at the “usual place” the next day to do the deal.
Norman rented their usual meeting place, an expensive room on the 35th floor of a Gotham hotel, and waited for Cobblepot to arrive. When Norman heard a knock on the door, he rushed over and let Penguin in. Cobblepot entered with a cigar in his left hand and his signature umbrella in his right. Norman gestured to a chair and invited Cobblepot to sit down while he locked the door and got them both drinks. Norman went up to the mini-bar and got out a bottle of single malt whiskey, a bottle of spring water, and two tumblers from a cabinet across the room. He went back to Penguin with the drinks, the tumblers, and a worn leather briefcase containing the acquisition copies for Cobblepot to look at. Norman filled the tumblers with water and whiskey and offered them to Cobblepot, and drank whiskey directly from the bottle himself. Cobblepot slammed the water off the table yelling "I never drink this stuff with my whiskey!" and immediately began snatching records from the old briefcase. Norman was startled and slipped in the water as he dodged Cobblepot’s swing, his neck and head hitting the chair as he fell. Norman apologized, saying that one of his best customers, Commissioner Loeb, preferred water with his single malt whiskey.
Cobblepot laughed and told Norman to be careful about what kind of company he keeps, and grabbed papers for several buildings around Robinson Park (Penguin already had a pretty buyer named Selina Kyle lined up for the property). He worked out the finer details with Norman, paid Norman his cut in cash and arranged the fund transfer to pay for the buildings.
As Norman turned around to get himself another round of whiskey, careful not to slip again, Penguin waddled over to his umbrella in the nearest corner of the room. Penguin yelled, “Hey, Norman! You’ve been a great helper. Thanks!” and deftly shot Norman in the back with his poisoned umbrella tip, near his left shoulder blade. The expert shot placement and poison worked immediately. Norman fell to the ground and Cobblepot waddled over and lifted Norman onto the bed. He ripped his cash out of Norman’s suit pocket and rolled Norman onto his face, extracting his specially designed umbrella tip from Norman’s back with his left glove, saying, “These lot are expensive.”
Penguin then opened the window, smearing blood from his left glove on the outside window ledge, and used his umbrella’s helicopter function to fly away to the Final Offer and teach Alberto Falcone a lesson.
I pieced together the clues from the hotel room for the finer details, and, combined with the evidence I obtained from Penguin and his thugs earlier that day, I glided out the window and grapnel boosted away just as Branden and his cops entered the room.

He got second place because he pretty much nailed the 'right' answer.
The business partner in my scenario wasn't fake, but very, very competitive. He also didn't have a name in my scenario because, let's face it, how're you going to guess what name I've chosen.

BTW, be careful when posting from your boyfriend's computer - we might mistake it as a second account. :alfred:

No-one got the hidden second right option though. Very surprising...

Congrats to the winners and all that made the attempt! It was fun while it lasted.

R_R, I wouldn't mind if you just hit the highlights of your RIGHT answer. Just curious how you explained the details. I'm also wondering about your alt. A clue wouldn't be turned down if you don't want to give it outright. :riddler:

I want to post some of my lame answers for the second riddle, but I can't find my note pad I had written them in. I'll try and post when I have a chance. A few were amusing. I could actually kick myself that I didn't get the answer before the clue.
