Since the additional info section hasn't been updated yet, I figured that I would submit mine:

Additional Information: Dr. Jonathan Crane’s obsession with fear goes all the way back to his childhood bullying. He became fascinated with how fear affects the mind and made it the study of his life. Realizing that the best way to study fear was to induce it, Crane invented his signature Scare-gas. His experiments on others were quickly put to a stop and he was fired from the university that he worked at. Seeking revenge and still wishing to continue his experiments, Crane became Scarecrow: a villain who exploits the fears of others in order to study and experience them for himself. Batman has put a stop the Scarecrow’s plans numerous times, but Scarecrow has always come back to terrify Gotham again begging the question: Can you really ever lock-up someone who personifies fear itself?

I am voting for TheJester's entry for additional info though, I think hers is better that mine but I figuered that since I had written one, I may as well post it.

SCARECROW... One of the most interesting villains of all comics. The Fear/Doctor/Psycho= the coolest cat around.

It would be cool to have a "fear" sequence in the opened city.
The whole town would look totally different to batman's eyes, people would be monstered, buildings would be..something else, weird.

And in the end you might have to track Scarecrow in spite of the situation, or go on batman's parent tombs, in the cimeterry (like in The Long Halloween).

In the south of the new gotham, there is a zone withotu buildings, I think it is a cemetery.

I'm pretty sure Derek wanted to do one, but wasn't allowed by Rocksteady.

If that's true then Rocksteady must have plans for the character.

I still hope we see Scarecrow in Origins, just a side mission though as I'm guessing he'll have a huge role in the Arkham City sequel. It would be interesting to see his look in Origins, hopefully looking like an actual Scarecrow.

This maybe they wanna give us his origin in AO or A3

Scarecrow could be like Riddler, no riddles but fear gas spots or could be a side quest of police getting tortured by Crane's fear gas and Bats has to find who did it.

Didn't Crane die though when Croc brought me down into the water at AA??

TheJester wrote:With Crane presumed dead, it's only a matter of time before he can strike again - this time at the heart of Gotham. Using his trademark fear gas, Scarecrow can launch a full scale attack on the city in a revenge scheme against the Batman, which in turn will lead to a more complex and twisted hallucination where the Dark Knight must battle his way through his demons, perhaps with the transformation of Crane into the fearsome Scarebeast. However, he may not be able to do this alone. Perhaps with the alliance of Hush, Scarecrow can discover Batman's true fear and use this against his greatest opponent.

I think I predicted the plot of AK a few years in advance it seems 8-)
