Batman Dark Tomorrow....

Postby TheLaughingBat » Jan 29th, 2013, 12:21 am

Anyone remember this game? It was a great game wasn't it? Better than AC and AA don't you think? Hahahah.... Only joking. Let's have a nice little discussion about the worst Batman game ever made and one of the worst games ever made in general( Second to Superman 64 of course :oldyella:). I'll start.

I'll always remember this game for it's gameplay. This game had some of the worst gameplay I've ever seen. From Batman getting beat by minor street thugs, to him gliding into an imaginary wall whilst trying to get to Ra's al Ghul's base. There are a few more..... Correction. A LOT more problems that I had with this game. But, I'll save some of those for later.

What did you think of Dark Tomorrow?

Wayne Manor looked like the Disney castle.

NOOOO!!! Don't do it! This game will give you the Bad Game Disease based upon it's pure crappyness! Just take a look at this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6zht7gpsV0

The CGI cutscenes where good, though. They are the only reason I still own have Dark Tomorrow.

Gameplay was bad, but I did like their use of characters in the game.

No, you shouldn't go on. The game was pure shit. I'd give it a -50/10.

Excuse my vulgar choice of words here, but we can all agree its needed for this game...

The character design and overall character animation was just plain dirty, stinky, rotten crap, its one of the worst games I've played honestly and I'd sooner brush my teeth with anti-freeze and take a bath in manure then sit through that pile of monkey-ass again. Batman just looked like a total derp and switching between gadgets was horrible, having to cuff the guys on the ground every time was ridiculously stupid, the grappling was SUCK, and I felt like the entire game was just a troll made by the Joker.
You don't get it, son. This isn't a mudhole... It's an operating table. And I'm the surgeon.

Bat-Cuffs made me insane. Grappling rooftop to rooftop was the most daring thing.
Plus, when your immobile on the ground, you take as little damage as possible but watching Batman being shot multiple times with a rocket was enjoyable!

Just watch Gameinformer's Replay of Dark Tomorrow :adam:

Is this Superman 64 caliber? You'd think, "might as well be." But I say otherwise, I say... just shy of a Bat-Shark contingency (paranoia, insanity, or straight-up genius? You decide.)

Honestly, I've never played this game before, I always had a desire to give it a try. But, is it really that bad like people say?

Here is a review showing off the gameplay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XULgJA3o ... ata_player. Skip to 6:40, this part of the game still gives me nightmares.

You know what, I just saw a copy of Dark Tomorrow at a local games store. I looked at the back of the case, and you know what? They were right.

"NEVER DONE BEFORE!"

Yep, Batman Dark Tomorrow was a "NEVER DONE BEFORE!" piece of genuine shit video game.

Basically. I would literally just look up the cutscenes online. That is literally the only redeeming bit from the game. :/
