A while ago I began to see adverts cropping up in various comic books, and what they were advertising had me very excited. Converse had teamed up with DC to produce high quality shoes based on a wide assortment of characters from the DC Universe. Being the mad DC fan I am, I decided that I simply had to get a pair. The range of shoes on offer in the range are fantastic, with designs ranging from the Justice League, to the Flash and the Joker, and all of the shoes boast high-quality designs and inspiration from artists that have lent their talent to the characters used.
It took a long time for me to decide what design to go for, but in the end I opted for this pair:

Stunning aren't they?
The pair has different images on each shoe, but both of them stick with the black, blue and yellowy-green colour scheme. The art is fantastic and moody, and really captures the Dark Knight in the backdrop of Gotham City at night. Some images are surrounded inside comic book panels, which only elevates the 'cool' factor that the shoes bring.

The shoes themselves are stitched very well. The exterior is made of canvas, and the sole is made from a very good rubber, meaning the heels of them won’t rupture so easily. As I've said before the art on the shoes is fantastic, with all images of the Caped Crusader being well coloured and detailed, blending into the colours of the background brilliantly.

Did I mention that the box they come in is awesome too?
I've had my pair since November, and they've served me very well (I can almost guarantee that you’ll get an 88% increase in compliments). The only real negative factor I can bring up is the price. At £49.99 they aren't exactly the cheapest shoes around, but they will certainly last you. All in all if you're a fan of Batman you'll be a fan of these (I know I'm very happy with my purchase). They're comfortable, cool, classic, and perfectly capture the essence of what makes Batman so god-damn cool.
