Arkham City Bio
Imprisoned from birth to serve his dead father's sentence, Bane was raised inside the horrific environs of a Santa Priscan prison. Subjected to military experiments with the experimental ultra-steroid Venom, his superhuman strength and iron-forged will helped him to escape. Determined to build a criminal empire, he sought out batman and broke the Dark Knight's spine.
But Batman recovered and managed to best bane, cutting off Bane's precious Venom supply.
Since the events at Arkham Asylum, it's rumoured that Bane has turned over a new leaf in an effort to save others from similar addiction.

Additional Information
Bane’s upbringing in a Caribbean prison gave him a will made of iron. The use of the super-steroid Venom seems to have given him a measure of arrogance and stubbornness though, and that has led to defeats at the hands of the Dark Knight. Bane has clearly not been at the top of his game recently, but when he is, he is always one of Batman’s top threats. His studies in prison have boosted his intelligence to the point where Ra’s al Ghul once said that Bane “has a mind equal to the greatest I have known”. This mind, combined with super-human strength, once managed to break Batman’s back, and could do it again if Bane sets his will to it.Thanks to Hush__.

Possible role in Arkham 3
After being humiliated by Batman for a second time Bane will most likely try to find the Dark knight and try to break him, as well as trying to salvage whatever's left of the Titan in Arkham City
Bane will once again try to beat the Bat in A3. After two defeats in a row, Bane will probably (hopefully) be more calculating this time around and put more thought into his evil designs on the Dark Knight. If his scheming prowess begins to fire on all cylinders, we could really see anything from this super-powered strongman. Maybe he'll team up with another villain to take Batman down or maybe he'll use another villain without them knowing it. Bane is dangerous and just maybe the third time's the charm in his quest to permanently break the Bat.
Thanks to Scarecrow112 and Hush__

Yes. That is the bio from Arkham City, so Knightfall is canon in the Arkhamverse (though the details may not match exactly).

It depends on what Rocksteady would do with him. I don't want a repeat of his failure in Arkham City. Take him up a notch and let's see the smart, calculating Bane we all know!
Chances of appearing - 4/10

Strange, since Batman is not acting like someone who's recovered from a massive back injury.

Possible Chance of Appearing: 3/10
Possible Role: Another sidemission. Hopefully a tough one involving more than blowing stuff up and watching Bane prance around like a fool.

I think people really under estimate Bane and Rocksteady has underused him, but Arkham 3 is their chance. Lets not forget Bane was written as a cunning strategist and one of the few people besides Batman to be considered a successor to Ra's Al Ghul (Possible Role in next game?). I think they need to return Bane to center and play him much more in round 3.

Possible Chance of Appearing:
5/10

I think it could go either way. I loved him in AA but didn't like him in AC. I'm not sure if Rocksteady will want another chance at redemption by amping him up intellectually or just leave him be.

This has always made me wonder. The Arkhamverse Bane must be like the one on Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

They had their chance in AC. They still failed to satisfy us.
