While newly elected Mayor Sharp is the public face of Arkham City, the secret manipulator behind the scenes is the nefarious Dr. Hugo Strange. Sharp presents the walled encampment as Gotham's ultimate solution to crime, but Strange has a secret, darker agenda. He's recruiting his own security force--one that will answer only to him and whose ultimate goal is the death of Batman. With Arkham City nearing completion, Gotham's criminal element is on the run. No one wants to stick around to be rounded up, whether it's a big-time crime lord or a low-level thug. The Carpenter wants to pick up a little extra traveling money before she skips town, but it rapidly turns out to be one score too many. While some of the bigger players are plotting how to ultimately carve up Arkham City between them, The Riddler has a very different idea about his role in the new criminal compound. But first, he's got to break out of custody to get into the new hideout he's arranged for himself. Robin takes it upon himself to explore the dark corners of the new Arkham City--without letting Batman know. His surveillance of a drug operation leads to an unexpected encounter with a very dangerous player. What will have deadlier consequences--his street fight or the Dark Knight's disapproval? Inside Arkham City, entrapped criminals have to find new ways to keep themselves occupied. In Bane's case, he's biding his time by running an extreme fighting ring. The lack of serious competition leaves him frustrated, until an otherwise lackluster opponent produces a big surprise. The result may inspire Bane to take on deadlier hobbies. Now that they've set up their little love nest inside Arkham City, Harley was looking forward to nothing but good times with her "puddin'." But the Joker seems to be spending an inordinate amount of time obsessing over a non-human accomplice--Scarface! You can bet Harley's not about to surrender to any rival, even one that's made out of wood. This original digital series reaches its dramatic conclusion with a story focusing on Mr. Freeze. Important news reaches Freeze in Arkham, pushing him over the edge and driving him to make a daring escape. Batman is quickly in pursuit, but the Dark Knight is the least of the frozen felon's concerns. Read the comic and then play the most anticipated video game of the season!
